PREMISES
The code of ethics for Professional Marriage Agents
is the set of principles, rules and customs which every member
registered with the Association of Professional Marriage Bureaux (ACMA)
must observe and to which he/she must aspire in excercising his/her
profession.
ARTICLE 1
The Professional Marriage Agent does not
discriminate against religion, race, nationality, political ideology,
sex and social class.
ARTICLE 2
The Professional Marriage Agent must not accept
assignments for which he/she does not believe he/she possesses the
necessary preparation/background experience.
ARTICLE 3
The Professional Marriage Agent must, when
accepting the assignment, illustrate to the client,simply and clearly,
the essential elements and possible risks in connection with the work
assigned.
He/she must also, during the course of his/her activity, inform the
client of the essential facts connected with the fulfilment of its
work in good time.
ARTICLE 4
The Professional Marriage Agent must behave in
correctly, loyally and sincerely.
He/she must respect professional secrets.
ARTICLE 5
The Professional Marriage Agent must ensure that
even its collaborators are aware and respect the obligations of
professional secrecy and confidentiality.
ARTICLE 6
The Professional Marriage Agent must, in
relationships with the press and other mediums of information,
exercise caution and respect the obligation of professional ____
ARTICLE 7
The Professional Marriage Agent cannot acquire
clientele trough incorrect advertising.
ARTICLE 8
The Professional Marriage Agent must not accept the
assignment if other professional or personal engagements provent him
from carrying it out with the diligence and scruples required by the
importance, complexity, difficulty and urgency of the task to be
carried out.
ARTICLE 9
The Professional Marriage Agent must not proceed
with the assignments should the client’s conduct request or other
serious motive prevent its fulfilment.
ARTICLE 10
The Professional Marriage Agent cannot divulge
reserved written documentation, information or communication
receivedeven occasionally from a colleague.
ARTICLE 11
The Professional Marriage Agent is not allowed to
favour any person who carries our any professional activity abusively.
ARTICLE 12
The Professional Marriage Agent must concern
himself with supplying collaborators with the teaching necessary to
allow them to carry out knowingly and scrupulously the tasks assigned
to them.
ARTICLE 13
The Professional Marriage Agent, when called to
substitute a collegue in the pursuit of the professional assignment,
must observe the methods and correct formalities and act loyally.
ARTICLE 14
The Professional Marriage Agent who is called to
substitute a collegue must offer his full collaboration and work so
that his substitution is not in any way regarded as prejudice for the
client.
ARTICLE 15
In the case of services initiated by a deceased
collegue and continued by his successor, the respective payments owing
to the two Professional Marriage Bureaux becomes due, where doubt
subsists or where economic interests are high, prior opinion of the
Association must be sought.
ARTICLE 16
The Professional Marriage Agent must inform the
Association of every attempt to impose on him any behaviour which does
not comply with the Code of Ethics, frm whatever source they may come.
ARTICLE 17
He/she must abstain from any action which cause
discredit to the prestige of the profession.
ARTICLE 18
The Professional Marriage Agent must qualify with
clarity specifying on headed letter paper the studio plaque, the
telephone directory and every analogous plane-only the titles of which
he/she is in possession so as to avoid all confusion.
In particular on the headed letter paper, calling
cards and in all the forms of correspondance on paper, electronic or
telematic means his/her name must be followed by the writing "Member
of the ACMA Association of Professional Marriage Agents", the
date and relative registration number. |
